Where Love Met the Cross —
A Night of Light, Reflection and Living Hope

There are moments when faith becomes more than something we believe—it becomes something we feel. Moments when the truth of God’s love moves from our minds into our hearts in a fresh and powerful way, grounding us again in what truly matters. This Good Friday, here in Nazareth, we experienced one of those moments together as a church family. We gathered in quiet reverence, holding candles in our hands and turning our hearts toward the Lord. The room was filled with a gentle stillness—a sacred pause in the middle of life’s noise—and in that stillness, we remembered the cross of Yeshua, not as a distant story or a yearly tradition, but as the very place where everything changed for each one of us.

As we carried the cross together, step by step, something deeply personal unfolded among us.

What could have remained symbolic became real. We were reminded that Yeshua willingly carried what we could never carry, stepping into our brokenness, our pain, and our need with a love that did not turn away. The cross, in that moment, was not only a reflection of suffering—it became a powerful reminder of redemption. It is the place where mercy met us in our weakness, where forgiveness was extended long before we knew how to ask for it, and where a new beginning was opened fully and freely to all. What once represented death has become for us the very doorway into life.

For us, living in this land where the story of the Gospel took place, these moments carry a unique weight.

The hills, the streets, and the very atmosphere around us echo the reality of what Yeshua has done, yet at the same time, we continue to walk through the tensions and uncertainties of everyday life in this region. And still, in the midst of it all, our hope remains steady. Not because circumstances are easy, but because our foundation is secure. Our hope is not rooted in what is happening around us—it is anchored in what has already been accomplished through the cross. Yeshua did not remain distant from our reality; He entered into it fully, bore what we could not bear, and made a way forward, not only for eternity but for today—a way marked by peace in uncertainty, strength in weakness, and light that continues to shine even in the darkest places.

As we stood together that evening, holding light in the darkness, there was something else present among us—something quiet, yet unmistakably strong. Joy. Not loud or overwhelming, but deep and steady, anchored in a truth that cannot be shaken. Because we know that the story does not end at the cross. Resurrection is coming. This is the promise we carry and the hope that sustains us. The cross was never the end—it was the turning point, the moment where love overcame sin, and life overcame death. And even now, His light is shining here in Nazareth, reaching hearts, restoring lives, and drawing people to Himself in ways both seen and unseen.

We are deeply grateful for each one of you who stands with us in this journey.

Through your prayers, your encouragement, and your faithful partnership, you are part of what God is doing here. You are helping bring light into places of darkness, hope into moments of uncertainty, and the message of Yeshua into hearts that are searching for truth. Thank you for walking this path with us. May this season draw you closer to the heart of God in a renewed way, reminding you that because of the cross we are forgiven, because of the resurrection we are alive, and because of Him, our hope will never be shaken.
