This past week was such a blessed and fruitful week at Home of Jesus the King Church, and you played a massive part! We were able to roll out our Winter Project in full force. It was such a sight to behold as our team of volunteers jumped into action to begin preparing all the electric heaters, blankets, fleece pajamas, and food baskets for distribution among the poor and needy among Nazareth’s Arabs and Jews.
In total thus far, we have been able to distribute 120 warm winter blankets, 42 electric heaters, 80 pairs of fleece pajamas, and more than 100 food baskets to needy Arab and Jewish families in and around Nazareth. In addition, we were able to prepare Kids Bible and Coloring Book packs for all the families with children.
This is such a strategic and effective way to get the Word of God in front of people here in Nazareth, as it’s not just that the kids will enjoy their Bibles and coloring books, but their parents will also be exposed to the Light of the Word of God. What makes this even more special, is that the parents are the ones who come to our distribution center and who call us to request the Kids Bible and Coloring Book baskets for their kids! God is moving and He is opening doors that no one can close.
This winter in Israel has been extremely cold and we’ve seen record levels of snowfall in the land. Those in need are desperate for someone to reach out a helping hand to offer consolation and hope in the form of impacting humanitarian aid, along with a message of love and hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
We are trusting God for the resources to purchase additional stock of winter aid for the poor and needy, for the need indeed is great. Here below is what we still need:
200 winter blankets at 40 shekels ($12.66) each
20 electric heaters at 140 shekels ($44.32) each
200 pairs of fleece pajamas at 10 shekels ($3.16) per set
In the photos, you can see some of the people that our Winter Project was able to impact. Your support of this project will not be in vain but will make a lasting impact on the lives of impoverished people. We are also featuring a video of Tarek in the newsletter, where he is offering heartfelt thanks to our partners for taking care of those in need during winter.
